Jenna Stands Brave

Jenna Stands Brave

My name is Jenna and I like to play the piano, sing, dance, take pictures and play with my friends.

About three years ago, I suffered a mini concussion. I was playing at my friend’s house and we decided to ride our scooters down a BIG steep hill. I decided to go last.  I had watched my friend make it down the hill, so when it was my turn, I was scared, but I knew it would be fun anyway! So, I started down the hill.  When I was about half way down the hill, I was at the steepest part and I tried to push down on the foot brake.  But, I couldn’t find the brake with my foot.  I was going so fast and knew I would crash if I didn’t stop.  So, I looked down for a second to find the brake and when I did, the scooter crashed.  I fell forward, landing on my face and slid down the hill on my face and arms.

When I stopped, I had cuts and scrapes all over my face and arms.  Luckily, we weren’t very far away from my friend’s house, so my friend ran back to tell his mom. My friend’s mom came in her car and picked me up and took me back to her house.  When I got to my friend’s house my friend’s parents helped me and cleaned me up.

I am so thankful for friends who care for me and will support me.

I had faith that everything was going to be ok and work out and it did.  I am so thankful that I am better now!
