Letting your kids fall literally and figuratively is one of the hardest things to do, yet it’s the best thing we can do for them! This ad says it all! If we want our children to be successful, we need to let them fall. We need to let them hurt. We need to let them make their own choices, even if it mean they fall a little.
It scares me how society is with kids. Talk about having things at their finger tips. They say jump, and the parent says, how high! That is straight up wrong, in my opinion! We can’t loose the good ol’ fashion, respect others, respect yourself, work hard, good things are worth waiting for and working for, patience, happiness doesn’t come from things, treat others how you want to be treated, be honest, be faithful, show integrity. I know that many of us still try our hardest to teach these characteristics, but sometimes it can be a challenge. You have to be ok with being “different” and we have to teach our kids that it’s good to be different.
I take my hat off to all of those Olympic parents who let their kids fall so they could become better and who sacrificed so much so they could be where they are! It’s amazing and inspiring!
